Kooch is a community that brings newcomers and locals together through cultural and social events. It's all about connection, belonging, and feeling at home.

No! Kooch is built on the belief that integration goes both ways. About a third of our community are Dutch locals (hosts, language partners, volunteers) who make newcomers feel at home and get as much out of it as they give.

Everyone is welcome! Our gatherings are open to anyone who enjoys meeting new people, discovering cultures, and sharing good vibes. You don't need a visa, papers, or any specific status.

Not at all! Many attendees come solo and often leave with new friends. Our hosts make sure everyone feels comfortable and included from the very start.

Yes. All core services (community gatherings, lawyer intakes, Dutch conversation clubs) are free for members. Specialised legal hours and paid Dutch classes are available at reduced rates through our partners.

From Iranian dinners and cultural nights to singles gatherings, city walks, language exchanges, and Nowruz bazaars. Every event is designed to bring people together in a relaxed and welcoming way.

We respond in English, Dutch, Persian, Arabic, Ukrainian, French and German. Translator volunteers cover a few more, just tell us what you need.

Yes. We work with NGOs, law firms, municipalities, universities and language schools. Use "We're an org" in the join form and we'll schedule a call.

All upcoming events are listed on our website and on lu.ma/kooch. Each one includes details about the theme, location, and tickets. Simply click "Join" or "Get a Ticket" to save your spot.

"Kooch" (کوچ) means migration or journey in Persian, symbolizing new beginnings and the meaningful connections we make along the way.

Right now we are in the Netherlands, with active hubs in Utrecht (HQ), Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Eindhoven, and Groningen. We are planning to expand to Berlin, Brussels, and Paris over the next two years.

No. You do not need any specific legal status to use Kooch community services. Our vetted legal partners can help you understand your options, confidentially.

It's our long-term vision. Integration is full of small wins: BSN registered, first Dutch sentence, municipality visit survived. We want to celebrate those with XP, badges, streaks, and a personalised roadmap. A playful layer on top of real life.
